Our sister, Barbara Green, passed away Monday. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Our love and condolences go out to Frank, Lisa and Jade Christiansen, and to the rest of their family.

Ruth and Ricky Pierce's daughter, Rikki Lynn Bell, is in Room 1614 at Baylor Medical Center - Roberts Hospital in Dallas.
Jacob Gonzales was recently diagnosed with diabetes. He is the son of April Holland's cousin, Candy Gonzales. Jacob is in his 20's.
Mike Stegemoller had a checkup with his surgeon in Abilene yesterday and got a good report.

Randy Fowler from the Lubbock area has been in Brownwood for a couple of weeks and wants to rent an apartment or a room. He grew up in the church of Christ and is trying to make a fresh start with his life. He also needs work--he had a mechanic shop for 10 years and is very willing to work in any capacity if given a chance. His number is 806-939-2922. Or you can contact the church office.
Baby Shower
A baby shower honoring Emily Jacobs will be this Sunday, October 29, from 2:00 to 3:30 in the home of Lori Haynes. Emily and Weston are registered at Amazon and Walmart.
Trunk or Treat
As an outreach to our local neighborhood, Trunk or Treat will be this Sunday from 5:30 to 7:00. If you have a decorated trunk, please be here by 5:00. We are collecting bags of candy in the church office.
We will not have our usual 5th Sunday luncheon this Sunday, October 29, but will have an all-church potluck lunch the following Sunday, November 5.

Centennial Celebration Banquet
On Saturday, November 4, we will celebrate the rich history of Austin Avenue church of Christ. The singing group "Because of Him" will be our entertainment, and we will have recognitions. The suggested donation for the banquet is $10/person. The meal will be roast, potatoes, carrots, jello salad, rolls, and chocolate or strawberry cake. If you wish to attend, please sign up at the back of the auditorium. You will pay for the banquet on the night of the event.

Bridal Shower
A bridal shower for Chelsea Chesser will be Sunday, November 12, from 2:30 - 4:00 at the home of Kerri Jacobs. Chelsea and her fiancé, Austin Farner, have selections at Target, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Amazon, Jacobs Family Pharmacy, and Early Blooms & Things.
